John Carte Named Bank Director

Citizens Bank of West Virginia announces the appointment of John W. Carte II to its Board of Directors. His term began on July 14, 2010 with attendance at the monthly board of directors meeting.

Mr. Carte is a certified public accountant and managing member of Carte Hall, Professional LLC, a certified public accounting firm. He is a member of American Institute of CPAs, WV Society of CPAs and the WV Board of Accountancy.

“Citizens Bank’s Board of Directors has been searching for an additional director with new insight, energy and enthusiasm to assist us in leading the Bank now and well into the future,” stated Citizens Bank President & CEO William T. Johnson, Jr. “John is regarded as a highly successful professional in his field and understands the economy of our market area. We look forward to his contribution as the newest director of our Bank.”

Carte is a member of the Elkins-Randolph County Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Board of Directors of the Snowshoe Foundation. He has been involved with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Tri-State as a member of the finance committee and served on Marshall University’s Academic Steering Committee for Accounting.

A 1983 graduate of Parkersburg High School, he received an AB degree from Mountain State College in 1985 and earned a BBA in accounting from Marshall University in 1990.

Citizens’ newest board member moved to Elkins in 2001. Married to Heather Hall, they have two children, Wesley and Raighan, and are expecting a third child in September.
