CNB Makes Donation to Habitat for Humanity Project

President of the local Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors Rachel Montgomery and board member Andy Montgomery receive a cash donation from Citizens National Bank President & CEO Robert J. Schoonover.

The contribution will be used to build a three bedroom house on Terrace Avenue in Elkins which is expected to be completed late fall. Employees of Citizens’ Beverly branch have also pledged volunteer hours to help complete the interior of the home. In presenting this check and manpower hours, Citizens National Bank reaffirms their commitment to meeting housing needs of Randolph County citizens.

Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat builds simple, decent houses with the help of homeowner (partner) families at no profit, financed with affordable, zero-interest loans. New homeowners are required to contribute a minimum of 300 hours of labor to build their home or homes of others.

Citizens National Bank, with $212 million in assets, offers full service banking, trust and investment services in six locations - Elkins, Parsons, Beverly, Petersburg, Snowshoe and Marlinton.
