CNB Scholar Awards, Application Criteria

Citizens National Bank is pleased to present $2500 in Citizens Scholar Awards to graduates in Randolph, Tucker, Grant and Pocahontas Counties. We’re looking to honor hard work, innovation and solid career directions. To be eligible, the recipient must enroll as a full-time student and attend a West Virginia college, university or school for the 2009 Fall/Winter term.


Awards
$2500 in a combination of awards will be designated and distributed to students of Randolph, Tucker, Grant and Pocahontas Counties to be used in their first year of full-time study. Once students are accepted at the institution of their choice, they must provide proof of acceptance to receive the financial award.


Deadline
The entry deadline is April 17, 2009. All applications must be turned in to your guidance counselor office or your local Citizens National Bank office no later than 3:00 PM on this date.


Judging
The selection of winners is determined by the Citizens Scholarship Committee which will choose the scholarship recipients based on the following criteria:

Scholastic Achievement (Must have cumulative 2.50 G.P.A.)
Extra-Curricular Activities
Qualities of Character and Leadership
Business/Career Interests

“Why we should award the Citizens Scholar Award to you” response.
